Here’s another edition of a few of my favorite things:

Hold Onto Your Kids: Why Parents Need to Matter More Than Peers - this book is a must read for any parent. I gained greater understanding of what was happening in my relationships with my children (especially in the teen years) and what healthy steps I could take to reestablish connection at a time when connection with me mattered most.

Loving Our Kids on Purpose - even if you don’t have kids, this book will help you in any relationship. I had such healing in my heart after reading it as I gained a new perspective on how God views me. It also helped me gain new, healthy tools in navigating some challenging times with my teens.

Parenting with Love and Logic and Parenting Teens with Love are must haves in any parents’ bookshelf. The ideas for how to handle specific scenarios was especially helpful for me in seeing how to apply the principles in my home.
